A complete Commonwealth University education includes active involvement with communities outside the walls of our classrooms and an exploration of new relationships within our community. We're committed to forging relationships across and through lines of difference. The Commission on Inclusion and Disability at Lock Haven (Conf.ID.ent) is a campus-wide group comprised of faculty, students, staff, and administrative representatives.
The Conf.ID.ent team works collaboratively with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, as well as many other groups, to support our campus community in safety, well-being, and education for all students, faculty, and staff through education and awareness programing, advocacy, and provision of supports.
Opportunities for engagement are embedded throughout the academic year to build awareness, insight, and reflective dialogue around the areas of disability, equity, and inclusion. Cultivating enhanced communication, fostering intellectual curiosity, and opening doors for the celebration of abilities are all vital elements to maintaining a welcoming, inclusive campus environment.
Our mission is to strive to create a fully inclusive campus environment and climate that is respectful, inclusive, universally designed, free of discrimination, and empowering for people with disabilities to be full participants in all facets of university life.
