Self Care Unit Contains

Web Portal (Medical Record)

  • The Web Portal is where you will find access to your secure on-campus medical record and is used for completing required medical forms, viewing and printing copies of your billing statements and immunizations and messaging the health center staff.

Having difficulty accessing the Web Portal?

  • Especially MAC users, try using Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.
  • Please allow 7 to 10 days after payment of your deposit of acceptance before trying to access your web portal.

Make a Student Health Center Payment

  • Click “Student Health Center Payment”
  • Click “Health Center Payment” product
  • Enter payment amount
  • Click “Add to Cart”
  • Click “Checkout”  (there are no promotional codes)
  • Enter Buyer Information: Student First and Last Name, CU ID#, Date of Birth and Email Address.
  • Click “Continue”
  • Do not register, enter email and Check out as Guest

OR...

  • Enter your email address (for receipt purposes) and select “Checkout as Guest”
  • Enter Payment Method and required Information
  • Click “Continue” (payment can be made with credit/debit card)
  • Review Order (Window will appear - contact information can be edited at this time).
  • Click on “Submit Order”
  • Order Receipt will display and can be printed and an email is generated.
  • Print email for your records.

  • If you are ill and unable to attend your classes, please read and follow the Course Syllabus regarding class absence policy.
  • If a professor requires documentation for your illness absence, call the Glennon LH health service on the same day you missed your class. We will provide further direction.
  • After an evaluation with Glennon LH health service medical staff, the student may request a “Verification of Visit”
  • If you are evaluated by a medical provider outside of the Glennon LH health service, ask for a “doctor’s note” to show to your professors.

Extended Medical Illness (EMI)

  • An EMI is a formal notice sent over CU Succeed by the Glennon LH health service staff if three (3) or more consecutive days of missed classes are due to an illness or injury.
  • Contact the Glennon LH health service for more information.

Glennon LH health services will not give out any information regarding your medical situation to anyone: family, professors, friends, or even other health care facilities, without your written consent. Professors may not call Glennon LH health services to obtain any information on your medical absence. Please refer to the CU Notice of Privacy Practices document in your Web Portal for more information.

Home Medication Management

  • The Student Health Center does not store or administer personal medications.
  • The Student Health Center will not accept mailed packages or medications that belong to students.

Mailing medications to campus

  • Use Fed Ex, UPS, USPS, DHL, etc.
  • The Mail room is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and is located in the Hursh-Nevil Building, behind the Durrwachter Alumni Center. For any questions concerning mail, please feel call the University Mail room at 570-484-2223. 
  • Please note that if you track a package through USPS, the delivery confirmation occurs when the mail reaches the Lock Haven Post Office, which can be 1-2 days before it reaches our campus

  • When the package arrives to the Mail Room, the student will receive an email notification from Digital Doorman, the package delivery notification system.
  • Once the student receives this notice, they must go to the University Mail Room to pick up their package.

Special Note

  • The Mail Room is closed on weekends and holidays.
  • Refrigeration services are not available.

Storage of Refrigerated Medications (i.e. injectables, insulin)

Condoms

FREE external condoms and dental dams are available at Glennon LH Health Services office. Stop in and pick-up! Also available at various campus locations including the Hope Center and Title IX office.

Depo-Provera

Depo Injections are administered at Glennon LH Health Services office, but are not prescribed. Please call for more information.

Birth Control Pill

Prescription birth control pills are not prescribed at Glennon LH Health Services.

Emergency Contraception

Emergency Contraception (EC) is available at the following locations near the LH campus: CVS, Walmart and Rite Aid or visit the Plan B One-Step website.

EC is most effective if taken within 72 hours (3 days) of unprotected intercourse

SelectPlan for Women

  • Application required.
  • Services include: health exams, routine health screenings and birth control methods. Education, family planning counseling and referrals to other health care providers and social services.

Need a copy of your medical records or medical information sent to another facility? 

Please read the following information carefully:

  • Per PA State Law, medical records are kept for a minimum of seven (7) years from the last encounter date before they are destroyed.
  • Current students may view and print a copy of your immunization record via — Health Center Web Portal.
  • In order to release your medical records, you must complete the Medical Records Release Form (* This form is not intended to be used as a blanket release form).
