Integration Vehicles
Integration vehicles are only to be reserved for the purpose of faculty/staff/administration conducting university business at other CommonwealthU campuses.
All off-campus requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis after reviewing the purpose of travel, the benefit/value added to the university mission, and the amount of other requests for campus-to-campus travel for the same time period. Use of integration vehicles for these purposes is free. Requests for other vehicles such as passenger vans or buses, fleet vehicles, etc. will result in charges to the requesting department. Integration vehicles are to be reserved only by departments directly under the university umbrella. They are not to be used by employees covered by University Foundation, athletics, auxiliary, or Student Government direction.
Overnight trips with integration vehicles will be handled on a case-by-case basis. If staying overnight for one or two nights, they may be approved if available, provided the employee is staying in on-campus housing. They are not to be used overnight for off-campus accommodations. Due to the need of others to continue conducting inter-campus business, employees traveling more than one or two nights should utilize their personal vehicle or an Enterprise rental.
Employees traveling in integration vehicles from Bloomsburg or Mansfield campuses should check the fuel level of the vehicle and refuel on-campus if necessary prior to leaving. Please refuel the integration vehicle prior to returning it to campus police so that it is ready to go for the next person. Report any maintenance needs or concerns immediately to the campus automotive garage staff and the Maintenance Work Order staff at 570-389-4586 or workorders@commonwealthu.edu. If there is a major issue for which the vehicle should not be driven, please let campus police know upon returning the vehicle.
When traveling during or under the threat of inclement weather, please adjust travel plans accordingly if possible. If sudden weather hits while you are at another campus, please consider staying there until it is safe to travel. Notify campus police and the Maintenance Work Order staff at 570-389-4586 if you are unable to return by your scheduled time.
