At Commonwealth University’s Office of Workplace Safety, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of safety, well-being, and empowerment for all members of our university community. Our commitment extends beyond compliance; it is rooted in a deep dedication to ensuring the health and safety of every individual who enters our campuses.

Workplace Safety is responsible for

  1. Safety Standards and Procedures: We establish safety standards and procedures to govern all aspects of workplace activities, promoting a culture of ownership, and compliance. We continuously review and update workplace safety programs and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  2. Training and Education: We provide comprehensive training and educational programs to support our campus community with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain a safety and healthy work environment.
  3. Emergency Preparedness: We develop and maintain emergency response plans, providing guidance and resources to effectively respond to emergency situations.
  4. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: We identify, assess, and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace to proactively safeguard the well-being of our campus community.

 Student and Visitor Injury Report

This is for students or visitors who have been injured on campus. This form is currently provided by health services but there are times when people are injured and they don’t go to health service. Currently we are not documenting these, this link should hopefully increase our visibility to those injuries in the future.

Report Workplace Safety Concerns

To be used as a way of easily contacting the Office of Workplace Safety. This link can be used for questions or concerns regarding safety around campus. This is not a replacement for the Work Order System. The safety concerns link can be used for issues that you think that the Office of Workplace safety could look into or for questions about processes you currently do, or unsafety areas of concern.
