Grow PA Scholarship Grant Program

The new Grow PA Scholarship Grant Program can help CU students fund their education and build the workforce in Pennsylvania for in-demand occupations.

Beginning in the 2025-26 academic year, Grow PA grant scholarships of up to $5,000 per year (up to a maximum of four academic years) will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for in-state students enrolled in one of several in-demand bachelor’s degree programs at CU. To qualify for the grant, students must agree to live and work in Pennsylvania in that occupation after graduation for 12 months for each year they receive the grant. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the grant being converted to a loan that must be repaid.

PHEAA Grow PA Program
  • To be considered for a Grow PA Grant, CU students must:
    • File the 2025-26 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
    • Be a resident of Pennsylvania.
    • Meet satisfactory academic progress for Title IV financial aid.
    • Have not yet earned a bachelor's degree.
    • Be enrolled at least half-time at CU (or another approved institution) and enrolled in an eligible program of study as determined by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA).
    • Sign a Master Promissory Note agreeing to repay all funds received if the work requirement is not met, including any potential interest accrued.

Applications for the 2025-26 program are available now. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible because the grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Visit the PHEAA site for more information including the full list of eligible programs, or contact CU’s Financial Aid office.
