Benefits of a Nutrition Minor

The nutrition minor will provide you with a strong background in nutrition as related to your major field of study.

It’s a flexible minor that complements many majors, especially those majoring in biology or chemistry or preparing for pre-health and other pre-professional disciplines. The nutrition minor provides a solid foundation in the applied science of nutrition with elements of basic food systems, disease prevention, and public health policy.

It’s also beneficial to those majoring in business and liberal arts programs who are interested in fields involving nutritional sciences, such as wellness consulting, eating disorders and dietary assistance, and food service management.
