Applying to Bloomsburg was one of the best decisions of my life. This may seem extreme because, why would applying to a stressful program be a great decision. There is one simple answer, the professors. Every MSN program is hard, but the professors at Bloomsburg truly made the difference and continue to do so. They helped me gain the confidence to go into a tough field and believe in myself. I will never forget my first quiz, I failed, one single phone call with my teacher gave me everything I needed to keep going.

The Commonwealth University nurse practitioner program has profoundly shaped my approach to patient care. One of the most impactful experiences was learning from passionate instructors who emphasized not just disease treatment but the holistic care of patients—considering their cultural, financial, and emotional needs. This comprehensive perspective has transformed my current practice, enabling me to provide improved patient-centered care. I actively involve patients in their care decisions, fostering a collaborative environment that respects their individual circumstances and empowers them. This approach has not only enhanced the quality of care I deliver but has also strengthened my relationships with patients, ensuring they feel valued and understood.

Commonwealth University gave me the tools and skills necessary to respond to complexities in my patients. This program helped me to identify my weaknesses, improve diagnostic skills, and prioritize management options for patients. The program is challenging but has made me comfortable in assessing and planning patient care. I am now able to use the treatment guidelines learned throughout the program to plan the best care possible for my patients.
