Courses and Curriculum

Digital Forensics Minor Requirements

  • 18 credits required for minor completion
  • Students should meet with their academic advisor each semester and use Degree Works to monitor their individual progress toward completion of the minor.

Minor Requirements

  1. Utilize operating system commands and utilities to examine processes and to store and access data at the file system level.
  2. Use Digital Forensics Software to analyze storage media.
  3. Apply a systematic, investigative process to acquire and analyze digital evidence using specialized software, automated and manual techniques.
  4. Write reports and present digital forensic and cybersecurity findings in a professional or courtroom setting.
  5. Design, secure and examine networks utilizing various tools and techniques.
