Dr. Olszewski is the Senior Associate Dean for the Breiner School of Nursing. She was appointed the Breiner Family Endowed Professorship of Nursing 2019-2023. Dr. Olszewski previously taught in the graduate nursing program and was director of Nurse Practitioner and Doctorate in Nursing (DNP) programs, as well as graduate program coordinator for the department. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Lycoming College; Master of Science in nursing as a community health clinical nurse specialist, and postgraduate adult nurse practitioner degrees from Bloomsburg University; and a doctorate of nursing practice from Chatham University. Olszewski's clinical practice is in occupational medicine where she has worked for the past 33 years and received her Fellowship distinction in 2006 from the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN), Fellow from the American Academy of Nurses (FAAN) in 2020 and Fellow from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP). She has presented nationally and internationally on a variety of occupational health topics, as well as published several journal articles and chapters in the AAOHN Core Curriculum. She received the College of Science and Technology Dean's Award for Scholarship achievement in 2017. Dr. Olszewski is immediate past president of AAOHN.  She currently serves on the NIOSH Board of Scientific Counselors, and recently elected to the American Nurses Association Executive Board for Individual ANA Membership.
