Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg’s chapter of Future Business Leaders of America left its mark this summer at the 2024 FBLA Collegiate National Leadership Conference with four members placing nationally in five events along with a national recognition for another.

Jacob Kozlek, a computer science major, took first place in Foundations of Technology and placed seventh in Foundations of Computer Science.

Amanda Kaczmarczyk, a graduate accounting student, placed sixth in Foundations of Accounting and teamed with Natalie Miller, an Honors marketing major, for third place in State of Chapter.

Rounding out Bloomsburg’s performance was Mackenzie Coffman, an information technology and analytics major who placed eighth in Job Interview.

At the conference in Orlando, Fla., FBLA members from across the country convened for four days in June to compete in leadership events, share their successes, and learn new ideas about shaping their career future through workshops and exhibits.

In addition, recent graduate and outgoing club vice-president Kimberly Speece was honored as among Who's Who in FBLA. Speece, who graduated in May with a degree in business education, has served as an FBLA National Officer this past year and a state officer for three years.
