I'm a native of Chambersburg, Pa., working professionally in the communications field for more than 25 years. I've spent the past 15 years working at Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg as a digital marketing specialist in the Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing with a focus on content management and creation for Commonwealth University's online presence, admissions marketing, and its flagship social media profiles.

Before higher education, I began my professional career as a journalist working as a reporter for The Daily Item newspaper in Sunbury, Pa., and the Public Opinion newspaper in Chambersburg, Pa., where I gained experience covering news, health, education, and sports. Through these opportunities, I also honed my photography skills which have served me well in his current position with Bloomsburg.

I graduated from Shippensburg University in 2000 with a degree in communications journalism after spending a year at the University of Pittsburgh studying mass communications. In addition to college, I spent eight years serving in the U.S. Army Reserves as a military policeman including two deployments in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks — one year at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and one year in Baghdad, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
