Distinguished indie band Melt will perform for Arts in Bloom Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. in Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall.
Formed in 2017, the New York City-based band Melt has steadily built a fanbase with a captivating sound and electrifying live performances. Their first single “Sour Candy” went viral. After releasing the EP ' West Side Highway’ they toured nationally, further developing their intuitive connection as players and cementing their status as a band to watch.
Described by the Washington Post as a band whose every studio album "begs the listener to imagine its live rendition," Melt has gained a reputation for delivering unforgettable experiences onstage. NPR praises their seamless collaboration, in which each member "expresses themselves like on groovy super organism" while Live for Live Music highlights their "atmospheric vocals, symphonic horn section, and dominating rhythm section."
‘If There’s a Heaven’(out 9/13/24) is the next album from the indie band. Recorded live to tape with producer Sam Evian (Big Thief), the eleven tracks span existential, feel-good pop (“Plant the Garden”), classic love ballads (“Your Name”), and lush, soulful rockers (“Heaven”). Melt’s debut is a joyous, timeless soundtrack for coming of age and finding oneself and one’s community. As emotionally stirring as they are groovy, Melt will move listeners in every sense of the word.
