Students take courses in public relations, media production, and emergent media. Sports information professionals write a variety of communication material, produce audio and video segments, coordinate interviews with the media, compile statistics, and update social media and digital communication.

Courses and Curriculum

Students who complete the Sports Information minor will be able to:

  1. Develop strategic communication messaging and material to target specific audiences and media.
  2. Write and produce a variety of communication deliverables such as promotional material, audio/video segments, interviews, and social media/digital communication.
  3. Identify methods to effectively disseminate information to organizations, media, and the public.
