Courses and Curriculum
Risk Management and Insurance Minor Requirements
- 21 credits required for minor completion
- Students should meet with their academic advisor each semester and use Degree Works to monitor their individual progress toward completion of the minor.
Students who complete the program will be able to:
- Discuss the importance and value of risk management and insurance.
- Explain the role of regulation and how insurance law and contracts function.
- Define and explain major types of insurance – life, health, property, commercial insurance
- Define and explain retirement plans and estate planning
