Professor of Health Science
Many professions work in the public health arena, including, but not limited to, health education specialists, physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, physician assistants, sanitarians, environmental health specialists, first responders, health communication specialists, and nutritionists. Many health-related professions are moving from an individual-level perspective to a community-level perspective.

Courses and Curriculum
Public Health Education Minor Requirements
- 18 credits required for minor completion
- Students should meet with their academic advisor each semester and use Degree Works to monitor their individual progress toward completion of the minor.
Students completing the minor will be able to:
- Describe the function and value of public health activities for advancing population health.
- Examine health concerns from a population health perspective.
- Apply public health principles in health profession settings.
