The aim of the Philosophy Minor is thus to acquaint students with philosophical work concerning, for example, the nature of reality, the possibility of knowledge, and the character of the good life. The course array of the Philosophy Minor is specifically tailored to achieve this objective.

Courses and Curriculum
Philosophy Minor Requirements
- 18 credits required for minor completion
- Students should meet with their academic advisor each semester and use Degree Works to monitor their individual progress toward completion of the minor.
Students will achieve meaningful familiarity with topics in metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics through the completion of courses whose utility is directly relevant to virtually any of the Major offerings of CUP. Students will also master the basics of critical thinking applicable to any field of study.
