Professor of Economics
The minor is often used by students who already have a major, and use economics minor to complement their own major; and/or further their education in economics with the aim of exploring the possibility of a major in economics or having the opportunity to pursue a further study or career in economics.

Courses and Curriculum
The Economics curriculum offers a systematic study of the economic activities of firms, households, and government. The core of the curriculum enables students to master basic principles of economics, develop analytical skills, and interpret economic phenomena. The learning goals and outcomes for economics minor are as follows:
- Outline a variety of economic theories; describe their assumptions; and state their predictions.
- Apply an economic model; and collect, summarize, and explain data.
