As a professional fundraiser with over 20 years experience, Ms. Boucek got her start as a political fundraiser in Virginia before returning to her hometown in northeastern PA where she joined the BU Foundation team in 2012.

During her time at the BU Foundation, Boucek has worked with both the Advancement Services and Annual Giving teams where her duties included overseeing the Foundation’s crowdfunding program to support campus groups and projects, managing the student call center, and founding the Student Philanthropy Council (SPC).

She currently serves as the Director of Corporate Sponsorships and Leadership Giving. In this role, she works to create meaningful partnerships between the university and the local community as well as connecting alumni and friends to find areas of support that are meaningful to the donors and provides opportunities for today’s students.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Boucek currently serves as a board member for the Susquehanna Valley United Way where she won the “Advancing the Common Good” award in 2024. She has previously served on various boards for community groups and youth sports, including the League of Women Voters of South Hampton Roads.

Boucek graduated from Clarion University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Women’s Studies as well as a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in journalism. Her daughter, Kaitlyn, is a current student at CU-Bloomsburg pursuing a degree in Geography and Environmental Planning with a minor in Hydrology.
