Mike Shapeero teaches classes in Auditing, Fraud Examination, and Intermediate Financial Accounting. He is the 2003 and 2016 recipient of Bloomsburg University’s Teaching and Learning Enhancement Center’s Outstanding Teaching Award. He has authored articles in auditing, ethics, and fraud examination.
Prior to academia, Dr. Shapeero worked in public accounting in Northern California. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant.
He served on the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners’ Higher Education Council. Dr. Shapeero is a past Treasurer and Board member of the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, and was the Joe and Joy Jacques Accounting Fellow. He is currently Treasurer and Board member of the Columbia County Historical & Genealogical Society.
Dr. Shapeero lives in Bloomsburg with his wife Emma, daughter Emily, and dogs Skeeter and Sasha.
