Dr. John Grandzol retired from Bloomsburg University in June 2021, after teaching in the Department of Management & International Business for twenty years. His academic preparation at Temple University, coupled with his professional experiences in operations and logistics at the Naval Aviation Supply Office in Philadelphia, enabled successful development and delivery of numerous courses, both undergraduate and graduate, covering topics in supply chain management, quality, operations management, decision making, statistics, business processes, and innovation.

His interest in online learning, technology integration, and teaching innovations led to a steady stream of research publications; notably, several in the Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education. He served the department by participation or leadership of every strategic initiative during his tenure. He led the interdisciplinary faculty group that developed the Supply Chain Management degree program. Dr. Grandzol received the university’s highest teaching honor twice (2001 and 2013).

Currently, he joins the department’s adjunct pool in the area of managerial decision making.
