Biography

In 2018, TePoel earned his Ph.D. in American Studies (Sport Studies) from the University of Iowa. He graduated from Ohio State University in 2012 with an M.A. in Sport Humanities. TePoel's research examines the intersections of sport with media, culture, the environment, and social movements. His work has appeared in Sport in Society, Journal of Sport History, The International Journal of the History of Sport, Sport History Review, and NINE: A Journal of Baseball History and Culture. He is currently the Book Review Editor for the Journal of Sport History.
