Chethana Liyanapathirana is an Assistant Professor in the Digital Forensics and Cyber Security Department at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, a position she has held since September 2024. With over nine years of experience spanning academia and industry, she brings extensive expertise in Cybersecurity, Machine Learning, and Digital Forensics.
She holds a BSc in Information Technology (2016) and an MSc in Cybersecurity (2019) from the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, where she was recognized with the Best Performance Award. Currently pursuing her PhD, her research focuses on novel intelligent malware detection and analysis frameworks utilizing deep learning techniques.
