Catherine Robison -Ranney has performed professionally for the past 35 years with The Cleveland Opera, Opera Birmingham, Lyric Opera Cleveland, Ohio Light Opera, Akron Lyric Opera Theatre, Lansing Opera, Carousel Dinner Theater, the Symphony Orchestras in Akron, Canton, Dayton, Johnstown, Wooster, Lakeside, The Cleveland Pops, Cleveland Women's Orchestra, and Robert Page's Cleveland Singers. Roles with Cleveland Opera included Gilda in Rigoletto, Genevieve in Suor Angelica, Miss Wordsworth in Albert Herring, Elvira in L'Italiana in Algeri and the First Spirit in The Magic Flute. With Ohio Light Opera, she sang Marianne in The New Moon, Lady Maude in Victor Herbert's Eileen, and Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus.  Other roles include Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, Eliza in My Fair Lady, and Perichole in La Perichole, Zerlina, Adina, Gretel, Violetta, and Rosina. She performs operatic and musical recitals and reviews with her husband Todd E. Ranney throughout the Midwest. Donald Rosenberg of The Cleveland Plain Dealer wrote, "...wherever they join hands, they're a winning couple."

Ms. Robison-Ranney retired 6 years ago from her position as a High School Choral Director in the Berea City Schools. She is currently Supervising Student teachers at Mansfield University and substitute teaching in the Wellsboro/Mansfield area. Her teaching experiences include elementary music in the Akron Public Schools, Music Education at Malone College, and Voice Instructor at The University of Akron and the College of Wooster and a private voice studio. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance and Music Education from Miami University and a Masters of Music in Performance from the University of Akron. She is a member of: Ohio Music Educators Association, American Choral Directors Association, National Association of Teachers of Singings, and Actors Equity.
