Contact Information

Dr. Senbeta joined Bloomsburg University in Fall 2009 after receiving his Ph.D. from Western Michigan University. His area of specialization is International Economics and Development Economics. In his dissertation “Three Essays on Development Economics”, he examined the effectiveness of foreign aid in spurring growth and reducing poverty in recipient countries. His research interest lies in the area of economic growth and development; poverty and income inequality; foreign direct investment and foreign aid.

Dr. Senbeta received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. He has taught several courses including International Economics, Introduction to Econometrics, Business and Economics Statistics, Principles of Macroeconomics, and Principles of Microeconomics.
