(QPA) - The QPA is calculated from the record of courses taken at BU with the grades of A, B, C, D and F. The computation is made by multiplying the number of semester hours for each course by the number of quality points for the grade for the course and adding all products. Then, divide the sum obtained in the first step by the total number of semester hours represented by the courses. Unless otherwise stated, the student is in good academic standing.

The initial grade and all subsequent grades for a repeated course remain on the transcript and are part of the student’s permanent record.  The most recent grade (regardless of whether it is higher or lower) will be the grade used for QPA calculation.

A minimum of 120 undergraduate credits are required for the Bachelor's degree; 30 graduate credits minimum are required for the Master's degree.
