Volunteer Opportunities
Whether you are an alum, a community partner, or a parent, there are many ways to help students as part of the Professional U career community!
How did YOU move from college student to confident professional?
Did you have the experience and connections you needed? As an alum, employer, parent, or community partner, YOU are an integral part of the Professional U career community that surround each student with support they need to graduate as confident professionals.
There are many ways to get involved! You can volunteer for a reunion committee, as a social host, and share your career wisdom with current students. Volunteer on your schedule, from your location, and in your favorite capacity. Not only do you get to connect with students, but you can reconnect and network with fellow alumni too!

Professional U Roles
No matter your major or class year, YOU have wisdom to impart and connections to share to help fellow Huskies/Mounties/ Eagles become the newest members of the alumni association.
Presenter/Panelist: Share your career experiences and knowledge as a panelist or presenter in a classroom, at one of our yearly college conferences, with a student organization, or at a student-alumni networking event.
Career Assistant: Help students decide on their own path by answering their questions during an informational interview, or get them ready for the job search by reviewing their resume or conducting a mock interview.
Experience Host: Connect us with your employer to host a road trip at your company or organization, take on a student career shadow to help students decide if they are on the right track. Mentor a student intern or coordinate with us to start an internship program with your business or with your employer.

Encourage your employer to post jobs and Internships on Handshake where they can connect with students, review resumes, and sign up for our Career Connections Expos and other events.
Encourage your employer to sign up for Career Connections Expos to give your company exposure and meet our students. Career Connections Expos are an opportunity to give professional advice as well as recruit students and conduct interviews.

Stay Involved with Your Alma Mater
Regional Network Volunteer: Gather alumni in your area by hosting or sponsoring an alumni social.
Reunion Committee: Join a committee for your class year or affinity group.
Alumni Association Board: Apply to become a member of the Lock Haven or Mansfield Alumni Association Board Of Directors.
