Katherine Thomas, a Chinese major and Linguistics minor, was rewarded $1,500 Undergraduate Research Scholarship and Creative Activity (URSCA) grant for summer 2021. The funding was provided by Husky Research Corporation Student/Faculty Collaborative Projects for research on “Early Scramble – A Review of China’s Early Handling of Covid-19” under the direction of Dr. Jing Luo. Katy delivered her research findings under the same topic at Exploring Innovation in Appalachia: An Undergraduate Research Symposium sponsored by West Virginia University on August 11, 2021. Congratulations, Katy!
