Commonwealth University-Mansfield held its Mounties All In Day of Giving from 8 a.m. Thursday, April 18, to 8 a.m. Friday, April 19. During the event, 434 donors raised $65,121 in support of Mansfield students. The funds raised during the event will provide crucial support for scholarships along with academic and athletic programs throughout the Mansfield campus.
"This is my first year being a part of the Mounties All In Day of Giving, and I couldn't be more pleased with the success we've had and the momentum we're building," said Kate Billmeyer, senior director of philanthropy at CU-Mansfield. "I am so encouraged to see the growth in support we generated from last year to this year, and I want to thank everyone on campus who played a role in helping us generate that excitement among our donor base."
Throughout All In, donors were presented with various matching gift opportunities and challenges, further magnifying the effect of their contributions. Among the lead gifts were a $10,000 matching gift from Mansfield alumnus Mark Doherty '95 and a $5,000 challenge gift from Roger Maisner, former Mansfield director of athletics.
"Our students are at the heart of everything we do, and every donation is an investment in their future success," said Bashar W. Hanna, president. "We are immensely grateful to all who contributed, as each gift plays a vital role in shaping the future of our university."
Throughout the day, CU-Mansfield's social media platforms provided regular updates, offering real-time tracking of donations and personalized outreach messages from many Mansfield faculty members, students and coaches.
