Walk the halls of Keystone Automotive in Exeter and there is a good chance you’ll bump into a Bloomsburg University graduate or a current student. That’s because just in the past year 12 students have landed internships and full-time jobs with Keystone Automotive.

Adam Schultz, a 2016 graduate and data analyst for the company, is in charge of the warehouse internship program. “We mainly recruit supply chain students but are open to all business students.” Schultz says, “It’s very flexible. We’re looking for students who want to be leaders, are ambitious, and self-starting.”

The company brought in six students during this past summer for its internship program. Students Gabriel Bodisch, Garrett Holub, Angela Bagnata, Lindsay Ortwein, Seth Jonassen, and Jonathan Guntz, all gained valuable work experience.

Keystone has also hired five people full-time from BU including Garrett Holub, Gabriel Bodisch, and Drew Bryant, who all completed internships with the company. Bodisch will start working full-time after he graduates in December, as well as Sara Ford and Alyssa Davies.

“There’s a clear pathway for growth in this company,” says Bryant, a 2018 graduate. “Everyone here is extremely nice, and there’s a lot of opportunities.” The company hired Bryant for its rotational leadership program. This newly developed program hires two individuals per year and gives them two years of training in four different departments. After those two years of training are up, the person gets a management position in one of the four departments where they trained.

“Our company is looking for younger individuals who are ready to get involved, specifically recent graduates who are motivated and looking for an entry-level position,” Bryant says.

Keystone Automotive offers a full-time internship experience in the summer and winter for students. These individuals get the opportunity to experience various aspects of the warehouse management including inventory control, human resources, report creation and many more.

They also help produce reports that are used for some of their other distribution centers across the country. Also, they offer a possibility for these student interns to continue their internship and work remotely for the company when they return to school, these spots being limited.

Keystone Automotive is primarily looking for students going into their senior year. The internship is for the distribution and fulfillment side of the company, but there has been cases where candidates are placed in other positions.
