More than 650 young entrepreneurs making up 70-plus teams were put to the test at Bloomsburg University’s third annual Husky Dog Pound — a Shark Tank-inspired business pitch competition hosted by the Zeigler College of Business with $20,000 in prizes.

The Husky Dog Pound competition gives students in middle school, high school, and BU students of all majors a chance to pitch business ideas to teams of judges with the winning middle school/high school team taking home $1,000. Second place won $750, followed by $500 for third and $250 for fourth through 10th place. University winners took home $3,500 for first place, $2,500 for second, $1,700 for third, $1,300 for fourth, and $1,000 to round out the top five.
