Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg and the Bloomsburg University Foundation (BUF) held its Huskies All In Day of Giving in support of CU-Bloomsburg students. From 8 a.m. Thursday, April 18, to 8 a.m. Friday, April 19, donations from 445 alumni and supporters totaled a record-breaking $137,311. The funds raised during the event will provide vital support for scholarships and programs across the Bloomsburg campus.

Jerome Dvorak, BUF executive director, expressed gratitude to the donors, emphasizing the profound impact of their contributions on the student community. "Every dollar makes a difference for our students, and we extend our sincerest thanks to all our donors," Dvorak said. "This event not only provides crucial financial support but also raises awareness among our alumni and donors about the transformative power of collective giving."

Throughout the All In event, donors were presented with various matching gift opportunities and challenges, further amplifying the impact of their donations. The most notable contribution was a $50,000 gift from Joel Showalter '96 to incentivize increased participation.

"Our students are our greatest asset, and each contribution, regardless of size, is an investment in their ongoing success," said Bashar W. Hanna, president. "Every gift plays a vital role in shaping the future of the university, and we are immensely grateful to all who participated."

Throughout the event, BUF's social media channels provided regular updates, offering real-time tracking of donations on giving.bloomu.edu/2024AllIn.
