Eight CU-Bloomsburg students joined management professor Christian Grandzol for the Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center (NEPIRC)'s Manufacturing Day at the Mohegan Conference Center in Wilkes Barre.
The students were: Aviel Kuhn, Annie Cheung, Joe Piancastelli, Kolby Sawyer, Stacy Sanchez, Robert Galiszewski, Luke Wolverton, and Gina Ditalia.
NEPIRC provides world-class training and consultative services to small and mid-sized manufacturers in the 11-county region of northeastern, northern, and north-central Pennsylvania. Manufacturing Day is a celebration of all things manufacturing complete with networking, exhibits, panels, and speakers. Students attended sessions such as sparking careers in manufacturing, navigating ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, cybersecurity in the Department of Defense supply chain, and building high-performance compensation systems. The students enjoyed the keynote speaker, Chris Czarnik, who spoke about winning the war for talent.
The day wrapped up with personal leadership growth ideas shared by the authors of The BeeKeeper: Pollinating Your Organization for Transformative Growth. The trip was sponsored by the Nicholas J. Giuffre Center for Supply Chain Management.
