Commonwealth University Transitional Council of Trustees

Dear Commonwealth University Community,  

Earlier this summer, Governor Tom Wolf appointed a Transitional Council of Trustees to represent Commonwealth University. The Transitional Council will serve through September, 2022 and will provide governance oversight while new, integrated Council of Trustees (COT) bylaws are formed.   

Commonwealth University Transitional Council of Trustees  

• Representing Bloomsburg University: Amy Brayford, Brian O’Donnell, John Wetzel, and Ray Zaborney 
• Representing Lock Haven University: Krystjan Callahan, Daniel Elby, Michael Hanna Jr., and Angela Smith  
• Representing Mansfield University: Steve Crawford, Patrick Henderson, Bobbi Kilmer, and Karen Russell  

In accordance with Act 55 of 2022, the Governor will nominate permanent Commonwealth University Trustees by August 31, 2022, which will then require confirmation by the State Senate. The first quarterly meeting of Commonwealth University’s permanent Trustees will take place in October. Quarterly COT meetings will rotate among all three campuses (with a virtual option included). 
During the first meeting of the permanent COT in October, integrated COT bylaws will be approved and COT officers will be elected.  

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the Trustees from Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield universities who have faithfully served their institutions and provided valuable guidance to each campus. Thank you for your leadership and commitment to promoting higher education while shepherding Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield universities through their ongoing evolution in order to best provide opportunities and access to students from across the Commonwealth.
