Greg ’01 and Jennifer ’02 Bowden are making a lasting impact for CU-Bloomsburg students with a generous $30,000 gift, elevating their existing scholarship established through the Bloomsburg University Foundation (BUF) to the $50,000 endowment level. Their support will create new opportunities for future leaders and help students thrive for years to come.
Greg and Jen first connected as students at Bloomsburg, graduating a year apart. For nearly 25 years, they have maintained a strong relationship with their alma mater and the surrounding community.
"Alumni like Greg and Jen who remain engaged with the university have a tremendous impact on the lives of current students," said Jerome Dvorak, BUF Executive Director. "Gifts like this make an incredible difference—not just for the financial aspect, but the powerful network of Huskies they help create across the country."
"Jen and I have always felt strongly about giving back, and with the campaign underway, this felt like the perfect opportunity to step up our support and help make a lasting impact on students."

Greg, owner and partner at The Princeton Group, a financial advisory firm, has held various leadership and advisory roles throughout his career. Both he and Jen have demonstrated their commitment to Bloomsburg students by establishing the Bowden Family Leadership Scholarship, awarded to sophomore and junior students who exemplify humility, collaboration, and a strong dedication to serving their peers. Preference is given to students who are involved in multiple leadership roles such as Greek organizations, athletics, and community government association.
Jen has been a dedicated leader both during and after her time at Bloomsburg. As a student, she served as a chapter advisor for ΣΣΣ (Sigma Sigma Sigma) and captained the Women’s Rugby Team, showcasing her commitment to mentorship and teamwork across social, academic, and athletic spheres. Today, she continues to lead as a successful realtor with Keller Williams, where she plays a pivotal role on the regional leadership team, overseeing operations across Pennsylvania, South Jersey, and Delaware.
As first-generation college graduates, Greg and Jen understand the challenges today’s students face, particularly the burden of student debt. Since 1984, state funding for higher education has decreased by over 40%, making philanthropic support from alumni more crucial than ever.
"When we heard about The Campaign for Bloomsburg: It Starts With Us, we were inspired by the momentum and what it means for the future of the university," Greg said. "Jen and I have always felt strongly about giving back, and with the campaign underway, this felt like the perfect opportunity to step up our support and help make a lasting impact on students."
Greg continues to give back by serving on both the College of Business Advisory Board and the Greek Advisory Board. He also previously held a leadership role in the BU Alumni Association, serving as president from 2003 to 2012.
With their latest gift, the Bowdens have helped push the total raised for The Campaign for Bloomsburg: It Starts With Us to $83,896,953, bringing the university even closer to its historic $100 million goal. Their commitment is a powerful example of how alumni giving can make an immediate and lasting impact on Bloomsburg students and the future of the university.
