Alumni and guests gathered in the Kehr Union Ballroom of Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg to honor five Bloomsburg alumni during the annual Alumni Awards Dinner on Friday, May 31.

Recipients of the Maroon and Gold Excellence Award included Jacob Kelley ’16, founder and proprietor of Mx. Kelley Queer Education LLC, Representative Emily Kinkead ’09, 20th Pennsylvania House District, and Kristen Wagner ’15, Editor-in-Chief of Lehigh Valley Style. Lynnette Luckers ’01, Dean of Counseling and Completion Services, Delaware County Community College was the sole recipient of the Distinguished Service Award while Kelsey Gallagher ’12, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Enterprise Mobility was recognized as the William T. Derricott ’66 Volunteer of the Year.

The guests of honor spoke about the life-changing impact of their experience at Bloomsburg, as well as the joy of giving back to the university and its students.

Nearly 350 additional alumni were honored as Grimes Loyalty recipients for their involvement with the university in 2022. Alumni involvement is a vital part of Commonwealth University’s Professional U career community and the professional success of its students.
