Exterior of Lycoming Hall at Commonwealth University - Bloomsburg

Traditional Residence Hall

Lycoming Hall, a four-story residence hall with over 71,000 square feet of space, cost about $2.3 million dollars to construct in 1976 and currently houses 235 residents. Located on the ground floor are two study lounges, one with a fireplace, and laundry facilities. The lobby area houses a reception area and the staff offices.

In 2008 Lycoming received a renovated lobby area complete with an open lounge area and large flat-panel television. Also included in the renovation was a new study room on the 2nd floor and a fireside lounge on the ground floor.

In the summer of 2018, Lycoming Hall underwent renovations which included a new entryway, student spaces and the addition of air conditioning to all student rooms.

In 2023 and 2024, construction of a new entrance and lobby for the Eileen G. Jones Honors College, as well as upgrades to classrooms, conference rooms, and study spaces was made possible through a $1 million gift from 1983 graduate Stephen J. Jones and his wife Melanie Sanchez-Jones.
