First Year Admissions
Commonwealth University is looking for students who are determined to succeed, and unafraid of a challenge. The application process helps us better understand who you are and your level of readiness to start your climb.

Apply Online
- Submit your online application and $35 fee.
- Start your application by creating a new account. As a first-year student you should choose “First-Year Applicant” when prompted.
- Choose to apply to one, several, or all campuses with one application and one transcript.
Program-Specific Deadlines
Accelerated (3+2) Physicians Assistant: Complete your application before November 1 with a SAT score of 1200+ or a composite score of 25 on the ACT submitted to the Admissions Office to be considered for an invitation to interview.
Nursing (ASN): Complete your application before December 1 including a TEAS score of 65 or higher to be considered.
Nursing (BSN): Complete your application before November 15 to be considered.

Submit Your Transcripts
Ask your school counselor to send Commonwealth University an official copy of your high school transcript. This request must come directly from the student as often times, you will need to sign a release form.

To guarantee merit scholarship eligibility for Fall 2024, be sure to complete your application and submit your transcript by Dec. 15, 2023 and pay your deposit by May 15, 2024. Scholarship funding is limited.
Scholarships will be awarded based on cumulative GPA at the time of application.

Submit Test Scores
We will continue to be test-optional for the 2024-25 year! An SAT or ACT test will not be required to complete your application. All applicants who submit a high school transcript will receive full consideration for admission and scholarships pending no other requirements are set by the academic department (i.e. musical audition, TEAS score for ASN applicants, etc.)
Applicants will not be penalized or otherwise disadvantaged if they do not submit and standardized test score with their admissions application. When reviewing applications for competitive programs, like nursing, we will consider the rigor of the courses taken, including AP, honors, and dual enrollment course work.

Earning credits in high school?
Once the course ends, you will need to submit a transcript from the community college or university where you earned the credit.
